Per cominciare, Autobild ha pubblicato il suo annuale confronto tra 52 pneumatici, in cui testa la frenata sul bagnato e sull'asciutto di praticamente tutti gli pneumatici che riesce a trovare, per scegliere i 20 migliori da sottoporre al test completo, quest'anno nella misura sportiva 225/40 R18.

Sull'asciutto non ci sono grandi sorprese: il Bridgestone Potenza Sport è il migliore, seguito da vicino dal Falken ZE320 e dal Michelin Pilot Sport 5.
Il bagnato è un po' più interessante, con un pareggio a tre per la distanza di frenata più breve! Il nuovo Hankook Ventus Evo è uno dei migliori, impressionante per il nuovo prodotto, e anche il Kumho Ecsta PS71 se la cava bene, ma il terzo pneumatico è stato il Linglong Sport Master, davanti a Bridgestone, Michelin, Continental e Goodyear! Questo è molto impressionante per il produttore cinese tradizionalmente economico, quindi sarà interessante vedere come se la caverà nel test completo, che includerà l'usura.
