Questo sarà un lungo test! La pubblicazione tedesca Auto Bild spesso esegue i test sugli pneumatici più approfonditi di tutte le pubblicazioni tradizionali, e il 2019 non fa eccezione. Dopo aver sottoposto cinquantatré modelli di pneumatici 225/45 R17 a test di frenata su bagnato e asciutto per stabilire i primi venti disponibili sul mercato, Auto Bild ha sottoposto i migliori pneumatici da 17" a un test completo estremamente approfondito, e ha persino incluso il test di usura spesso omesso!

Il Michelin Pilot Sport 4 ha continuato una serie di risultati molto forti nel 2018 per vincere il test generale, con il nuovissimo Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 molto vicino al secondo posto. Il nuovo Goodyear aveva solo un punto debole, il test di resistenza al rotolamento, e si diceva avesse anche un prezzo di acquisto molto alto, che non si applica più al mercato del Regno Unito.

Il terzo posto è stato assegnato a pari merito a un altro nuovo pneumatico, l'Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 3. Ciò prosegue gli eccellenti risultati che Hankook ha ottenuto con il nuovo Ventus Prime 3 nel 2018 e conferma ciò che il mercato sospettava da tempo: Hankook è ora un player premium. Il più affermato Falken FK510 ha eguagliato l'Hankook, con l'unica debolezza nell'usura.

Vale anche la pena notare che questo è il primo test in cui è stato presentato il settimo posto del Nokian WetProof. WetProof di nome, il nuovo Nokian ha dimostrato di essere estremamente forte nei test di maneggevolezza sul bagnato, ma ha avuto difficoltà durante i test di aquaplaning.

Asciutto

Se si fa la media dei risultati di frenata su asciutto e di maneggevolezza su asciutto, il Michelin Pilot Sport 4 è il miglior pneumatico da asciutto in assoluto, con un enorme divario durante i test di frenata su asciutto. I tester di Auto Bild hanno anche commentato che il Michelin Pilot Sport 4 è stato il miglior pneumatico da maneggevolezza nel test, offrendo un'eccellente sensazione di sterzata e precisione.

Bagnato

I primi quattro pneumatici si sono dimostrati estremamente simili durante la frenata sul bagnato, con il nuovo Hankook che ha superato di poco il nuovo Goodyear per il titolo di miglior pneumatico per la frenata sul bagnato nei test.

Il pneumatico Michelin vincitore del test si è dimostrato estremamente performante sul bagnato, piazzandosi in testa al gruppo con un piccolo margine.

E in qualche modo lo pneumatico Michelin ha dominato anche i test di aquaplaning rettilineo, che solitamente è una qualità opposta a test come l'aderenza sull'asciutto e la maneggevolezza.

Ambiente

Il Bridgestone Turanza T005 ha dimostrato di consumare il minor quantitativo di carburante nei test.

Tutti gli pneumatici, a eccezione del Bridgestone T005, hanno registrato una differenza inferiore a 3 dB durante i test sul rumore esterno; il nuovo Nokian WetProof è risultato il più silenzioso tra i pneumatici sottoposti al test.

A ogni pneumatico è stato assegnato un punteggio soggettivo in termini di comfort e anche in questo caso il Michelin si è classificato nella classe uno.

Costo

Il nuovo Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 ha battuto Michelin nel suo stesso gioco, avendo l'usura più bassa nel test! Michelin e Continental si sono piazzate rispettivamente al secondo e terzo posto, il che è fantastico da vedere, dato che l'usura è stata un punto debole per Continental in passato.

Il nuovo Goodyear è stato lo pneumatico più costoso testato, il che sarebbe dovuto alla nuova natura dello pneumatico. Se vedi i nostri prezzi qui sotto, il nuovo Goodyear è già significativamente più economico del Michelin nel Regno Unito.

Ancora più importante, il test "valore", in cui la rivista divide il prezzo di acquisto per la potenziale usura, ha visto Continental e Falken come i migliori pneumatici di valore dei primi sei posti! Con il prezzo Goodyear corretto, anche il nuovo Asymmetric 5 sembra avere un valore estremamente buono.
