Il vantaggio principale di questo test è l'enorme quantità di dati raccolti, in quanto gli pneumatici sono stati valutati sia oggettivamente che soggettivamente in numerose categorie.

Si tratta di una buona notizia anche per Goodyear, poiché il nuovo Goodyear UltraGrip Performance + vince alla sua prima uscita, dimostrando un eccellente equilibrio tra prestazioni sul bagnato e sulla neve, oltre a brevi spazi di frenata sull'asciutto.

Rinnovando le promesse del 2018, il Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 si dimostra ancora una volta un valido contendente e forse lo pneumatico ideale per i climi più nevosi.

Il Vredestein Wintrac Pro completa i primi tre posti. Questo pneumatico potrebbe essere la scelta migliore per i climi più asciutti e caldi, in quanto ha eccelso nei test di maneggevolezza su asciutto e bagnato, ma è risultato un po' più debole del migliore in prova durante i test sulla neve.

L'altro risultato degno di nota è stato il nuovo Nokian SnowProof. Non capita spesso di vedere Nokian comportarsi male in un test invernale, per non parlare dell'ultimo posto. In questo test, Nokian si è comportato molto bene sull'asciutto, con il miglior risultato in frenata sull'asciutto e ha ottenuto un buon risultato sulla neve, ma ha fatto davvero fatica sul bagnato. Poiché questo è il primo test di SnowProof che vediamo, attenderemo altri dati di prova per vedere se il nuovo Nokian è davvero così scarso sul bagnato, o se è stato qualcosa correlato a questo test.

I risultati complessivi sono stati incredibilmente ravvicinati, con tutti gli pneumatici consigliati fino all'ottavo posto, ma se vuoi il meglio per il tuo SUV nella misura 215/55 R17, scegli tra i primi cinque.

Asciutto

È interessante notare che i primi due posti nella classifica generale delle frenate sull'asciutto sono stati occupati dagli ultimi due pneumatici, con Nokian e Giti che si sono dimostrati i migliori nel fermare la VW T-Roc.

La maneggevolezza sull'asciutto degli undici pneumatici è stata estremamente simile, con una differenza di soli 2 km/h tra i pneumatici migliori e quelli peggiori.

Il Vredestein sportivo è stato l'unico pneumatico ad aver ricevuto dieci punti nella valutazione soggettiva della maneggevolezza sull'asciutto.

Bagnato

Il Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 ha dimostrato un vantaggio significativo nella frenata sul bagnato.

I primi tre pneumatici hanno dominato la maneggevolezza sul bagnato, sia in termini di velocità media che soggettiva.

Nei test di aquaplaning, il Falken ha avuto un vantaggio, mentre gli altri pneumatici si sono dimostrati molto simili.

Nevicare

Ancora una volta la Bridgestone è riuscita a fermare la VW T-Roc nel minor spazio possibile, questa volta frenando sulla neve.

Come nei test sul bagnato, il nuovo Goodyear ha dimostrato eccellenti prestazioni sulla neve.

Ambiente

Tutti gli pneumatici erano relativamente simili sia per quanto riguarda il rumore esterno che per quello interno soggettivo, ma il Falken ha dimostrato di avere il miglior equilibrio tra i due.

Il Continental WinterContact TS850P aveva la più bassa resistenza al rotolamento, ma era uno dei più costosi da acquistare.
